Outdoor concert series will benefit the Wekiva Wilderness Trust

APOPKA – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Wekiwa Springs State Park will host the second of three outdoor concert series on Saturday, November 8. Proceeds from the concert series will go towards the Wekiva Wilderness Trust, Inc. to provide education outreach and recreational opportunities at Wekiwa Springs State Park. With performances by the musical groups “Acoustic Flair” and “Mid-Life Crisis and the Hot Flashes,” the concert will feature a variety of classic rock, country and folk cover songs. Visitors can purchase tickets Saturday morning at the Ranger Station for $10.00 per person, children 12 and under are free. Visitors are recommended to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets and bug spray. The third and final concert in the series will take place Saturday, December 13 featuring the bluegrass/indie sounds of “The Holden Boys.” For more information visit, www.floridastateparks.org/wekiwasprings.
